New to Velocity for the 2012 season Alex Joins to represent the team in the Mini max class.

Alex is a fantastic addition to the team and has already shown his potential in karting by becoming the 2011 WTP cadet champion.

Alex is an ambitious young driver aiming to rise through the karting ladder with Velocity to world championship level prior to progressing to single seaters or endurance racing in the future.

His reason for joining Velocity is to be part of a successful and friendly team with a good reputation in Rotax Racing. To benefit from the expertise and knowledge of all the team members to help me learn and develop in karting. The structured approach to driver development and use of data will be a big help in learning all about Mini Max and other classes in the future.

Ben returns after a 3 year break from Velocity. He was unfortunately sidelined due to his size and weight for his age meaning he has had to wait until now to become a Senior and allow himself to enter the 177 class. He has the potential to cause an upset in this class after finishing a superb 3rd at kartmasters in 2011.

Ben hopes to get a top 5 number in this years Super 1 championship and achieve the podium where possible. His reasons for joining the team are the teams invaluable karting knowledge and the team atmosphere.

Details:

James moves up to Junior Max for 2012 for his second year with the Velocity and will hope to continue his progression as a driver following his Rookie Cup win at the last round of the 2011 Super 1 Mini Max championship.

James had a few notable results in 2011 taking his first ever podium at he Larkhall circuit, his reason for staying with the team in 2012 being the good working relationship he has formed with team driver coach Chris and his interest in the data analysis techniques which the Velocity team employs.

James will be racing as much as his education will let him so unfortunately will miss a few races to concentrate on his studies.

James will tie up with his mechanic Carl to contend the PF Club championship.

Details: Long time Velocity member Joe will make selected appearences wih the team this year at club and Super 1 level. Joe will make the step up to the Senior max class following. Notable results in 2011 were a stunning driver through the field to finish 13th at the Euromax race in Thy karting Denmark.

Joes will only be able to selected races this year whilst he concentrates on his exams.
